An informational meeting
about the New Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit will be held on
Tuesday, October 4, from 9:30am to 11 :30am at the Aston Community

meetings are also scheduled, at later dates, for locations in
Concordville and Boothwyn if you are unable to attend the October

Lions is sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Sunday, November 6, from
7:30am to 1 pm, at Aston
Community Center. All are welcome to come out and support this
fund-raising event. Prices: $5 adults; $4 senior citizens; $3 for
children 12-years of age and under.
General Federation of
Women's Clubs resumed their monthly meetings this past September
26th and are already on the move! They recently filled 4 backpacks
with school supplies to assist children who were in need of
obtaining supplies to start the school year. This month they begin
their "Operation Warm" program in which they purchase new
jackets to distribute among children in need and those in crisis
situations. Anyone interested in obtaining more information about

Jambalaya, seafood bisque,
and rolls & butter, all for $15, is a "Cajun Take-out"
fundraiser sponsored by Calvary Episcopal Church, Rockdale.
Proceeds will be sent to the American Red Cross for victims who
suffered loss from Hurricane Katrina. Orders must be placed, no
later than October 1, by calling Dale at 610- 566-4866. Pickups are
scheduled for October 8, between 4:3Opm and 6:3Opm, at Calvary
Episcopal Church, Rockdale.
Former teachers and
volunteers from Calvary Episcopal Church, Rockdale, are ready
to assist school-aged children with homework help. This community
service is available each Tuesday, during the school year, from 3pm

The Fourth Annual 911
Golf Outing was held at Loch Nairn Golf Club on September 26,
2005. Monies raised through this event were donated to the following
organizations:

Department ($1,000); and Delaware County Fire Police Association

A parade will kick off the day's festivities starting at Neumann
College at loam, and ending at the Aston Community Center. Numerous
events, games, and activities are scheduled on the grounds of the
Community Center between 11 am and 4pm in addition to the Aston
Business and Community Expo that will be held inside the Community
