SWDCMA
Plans To Meet With Edgar Residents
Representatives of
the Southwest Delaware County Municipal Authority are planning to
meet with those Edgar Ave. residents who suffered losses from a
March 20 septic backup, which was caused by a broken water main.
Discussion will center on a recent engineering study and
remediation options to guard against future recurrences. The exact
date of the session is yet to be determined, but the meeting will
be held sometime in January, with all parties notified by letter,
according to Seventh Ward Commissioner Michael Higgins. Attempts
to slate this meeting in December were confounded by holiday
schedules.
The SWDCMA holds its
workshop meetings on the third Tuesday of every month at the sewer
authority office, located at 1 Gamble Ln. in Aston. The formal
voting meetings are usually held on the fourth Monday of each
month. The regular SWDCMA board meetings will be moved to the
township municipal building this year, according to Board Member
Nelson Schaffer.
