week of Monday, June 19, 2006, the library will host a pet show along with Jungle John and his exotic animals that will kick off the library’s summer events.   Also scheduled, every Wednesday at 1pm during the summer months, are guest visits from Vickie Town, Mr. Malcolm, Segal Puppets, Marion & Friends, Eric Paul the Magician, Makin’ Music and Please Touch Museum.

Story Time will continue throughout the summer and will include infants through 2 years of age; 2-3 year olds; 4-5 year olds; and first through fifth graders.

“Science in the Summer” will explore oceanography from July 10 through July 13.

“Pals for Life” (pets and people helping each other) will give children, kindergarten through third grade, an opportunity to spend time practicing their reading skills with an animal who loves to listen to stories!

Many of these programs require prior registration for participation.  Please contact Ms. Lauren Longbottom, children’s program coordinator, at Aston Public Library for further details by calling 610-494-5877.
