From the Pen of our Police Chief

Officers Mikel Jones and Robert Jones were appointed, from part-time, to full-time status effective December 3, 2005, as announced at the October 19th Board of Commissioners Meeting.  Officers Mikel Jones and Robert Jones have been with the our police force for over 3 years and have lived in the township for most of their lives.

I am proud to have these fine officers on our police force and wish them all the best.

Township offices will be closed on November 24 & 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Trash pickup for this holiday week, November 21 - 25)  has been scheduled as follows:

Monday & Tuesday’s trash will be picked up on Monday,  November 21; Wednesday & Thursday’s trash will be picked up on Tuesday, November 22; Friday’s trash will be picked up on Wednesday, November 23.  The regular trash pick up schedule will resume on Monday, November 28.

The public works department has a recycling collection area in the back area of municipal building for the following items:  newspaper, clear glass, brown glass, green glass (no plate glass, please), aluminum cans, and used motor oil.  We do not collect antifreeze or plastics.  Thank you.

Leaves will be collected, Monday through Friday, throughout the month of November, ending on December 16.  Please make sure that leaves are placed between the curb and sidewalk and not in the street, by 6am on the day of collection.  As a reminder, sticks, stones, and rocks that are included with the leaves will damage the collection machines and delay future schedules.  For a complete date and road listing of all
