scheduled collections, please visit our website at www.astontownship.net or pick up a copy of our township calendar at the Community Center or Township Municipal Building.

Do you ever wonder what becomes of the leaves that are collected during the fall months by our township’s public works department?  Leaves are processed as compost and can be used for gardens and landscaping purposes to create perfect curb appeal!  In the back area of the township municipal building, we have a compost crop that is available, free of charge, to any Aston resident who wishes to utilize this environmentally-friendly service.  Residents may visit our compost site from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.  For more information, please contact Russ Palmore, Road Forman, at 610-494-8005.                               -Dick Lehr

Public Information Updates

Township related information, appearing on our public access channel 10, has a set schedule for daily air times.  Every morning from 6am to 8am and every evening from 5pm to 7pm, township information will be displayed.  Comcast, our cable carrier, has confirmed that some transmissions may not be clearly viewed on some residential televisions due to the differences between analog and digital television systems.

We strive to bring a clear and readable format to our viewers and will continue to fine-tune our public access channel over the next few weeks.  We appreciate your comments and suggestions as we work toward enhancing our public access channel.

Eckerd Pharmacy’s main headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island, confirmed on October 26, 2005 that the Aston Township store, located at the corner of Pennell and Knowlton Roads,  will not be closing.

A brochure rack has been placed at the Township Building and one at the Community Center to offer information that is available to anyone interested in finding out about community-related events and local areas to visit for family-fun outings.  Stop by!

The monthly Commissioners’ meeting that is held the third Wednesday of every month is taped and available for viewing on our public access channel 10, at 7pm, on the following Tuesday.
