about aston

This site is dedicated to Fran McLaughin who created the original site from which we were all motivated to present all of what you see. He dedicated much of the final years of his life creating Aston Township's first municipal website. In thanks, we have maintained some of what he created here in memory of his efforts. The banner, the color scheme, and some of the design work still remain in his honor.

The containers available are for newspaper, aluminum cans, clear glass, brown glass, & green glass, and motor oil. Please do not drop off regular trash or bulk trash items you are subject to a citation and a fine. Please respect our rules and regulations. Also please note there are no containers for plastic bottles or bi-metal cans, please recycle at your curbside pick-up.

Leaf Collection

The Public Works Department provides "leaf collection" in the spring as well as the fall. Please place all leaves out between the curb and sidewalk. If you do not have a curb please place them on the grass by the edge of the road. This allows the leaves to dry and the machines can pick them up easier and quicker than if the leaves are placed out in the road (paved surface)

Holiday Schedule

The Public Works Department needs to make adjustments in normal schedules for all collections. The schedule changes due to Holidays are provided here.

Thank You for your co-operation.
