Not everything in your home goes in the trash.

Proper disposal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) protects people and our environment.

HHW materials must be handled appropriately to protect people and not harm our environment. Delaware County sponsors several HHW collection events each year, where residents can bring their materials for free. And the cool part? We work with our vendors to recycle or reuse as much of the material as possible.

Below is a list of acceptable and unacceptable HHW materials, along with information on upcoming collection events.

HHW Collection Events

All events are by appointment only from 8:30am - 2:00pm.
Registration is required and will open six (6) weeks prior to each event.

Only HHW materials will be accepted. Vehicles not by appointment and unacceptable materials will be turned away, this includes NO trash, NO electronics, and NO latex paint.
